This red is the cochineal  that spinners and weavers will recognize as coming from the insect.

The exhibition, originally organized by the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe, NM, provides not only dyed artifacts but also a video showing the dying process.

A “must see” on the way to or back from Roc Day 2018!
